Recently, Harbin played host to both the 2026 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the Inaugural Meeting of its Specialized Committee on Integrated Circuits for Marine Equipment. Organized by the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and with Harbin Engineering University serving as the host, the event drew together a distinguished gathering of experts, scholars, and industry leaders. These participants hailed from leading universities, research institutions, and top-tier companies across China, including Peking University, Zhejiang University, China State Shipbuilding Corporation, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, and Loongson Technology. Centered around the theme "Laying a Solid Foundation with Chips, Empowering the Marine Sector through Intelligence," attendees engaged in collaborative discussions and strategic planning to advance the independent control and innovative development of core chip technologies for marine equipment in China.
