According to the latest memory industry research by TrendForce, the supply-demand imbalance for DRAM is expected to persist until 2027. Meanwhile, due to uncertainties surrounding the validation progress of original HBM4e, starting from the third quarter of 2026, NVIDIA has adjusted its HBM configuration plan for Rubin Ultra from HBM4e 12hi to a parallel evaluation of multiple designs, including HBM4e 8hi, HBM4 12hi, and HBM4 8hi, with the final plan yet to be determined. Additionally, some cloud service providers are also considering reducing the HBM capacity design for their next-generation self-developed ASICs.
