On July 30, Samsung Electronics released its financial report for the second quarter of 2026, reporting revenue of KRW 171.5 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 130%; and operating profit of KRW 89.5 trillion, a staggering year-on-year surge of 1813.8%. The company predicts that the shortage of memory supply will persist until 2028. It has already signed long-term supply agreements with the top five global data center customers and is currently in negotiations with five other key clients.
