AMD recently submitted the latest patch for the RDNA 5 GPU IP to the Linux kernel, officially enabling support for the 6th generation Display Core Next (DCN) display engine. Although RDNA 5 graphics cards are still several months away from market release, relevant Linux support has been deployed in advance to ensure the software stack is complete and usable prior to the product launch.
