This year, China’s electronic information manufacturing sector has demonstrated remarkable growth, marked by a significant boost in profitability, thereby establishing a strong foundation as the nation embarks on the “15th Five-Year Plan” period. During the first half of the year, both the added value and operating revenue of the computer and communication equipment manufacturing industries—above a designated scale—achieved double-digit growth. Production surged by 14.8% year-on-year, while investment expanded by 6.5% over the same period. In the initial five months, operating revenue surpassed 7.5 trillion yuan, reflecting a 17.1% year-on-year increase, and profits exceeded 420 billion yuan, doubling compared to the previous year. The industry has also witnessed fruitful innovation, with several AI terminal companies unveiling a range of AI products. Moreover, notable advancements have been made in the research and development of independent Beidou positioning chips. As a result, the variety of Beidou products has expanded, and shipments continue to climb steadily.
