On July 15, 2026, the Indian government approved an additional funding of 1.275 trillion rupees (approximately 90.44 billion yuan) for the comprehensive upgrade of the "India Semiconductor Mission 2.0." Building upon the ISM 1.0 initiative launched in 2021, the core objectives of this plan include deepening the chip design ecosystem, supporting equipment and material manufacturing, attracting foundry investments, strengthening advanced packaging and testing, promoting cutting-edge process R&D, and focusing on talent development. Additionally, the Indian government has approved a dedicated fund of 625 billion rupees (approximately 44.33 billion yuan) for mobile phone manufacturing.
