On June 23, the three primary A-share indices concluded the trading session with a collective decline. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 1.17%, the Shenzhen Component Index experienced a 2.76% drop, and the GEM Index plummeted by 3.29%. The precious metals sector witnessed a notable retracement, with several stocks, including China Molybdenum, CNGold, and Chifeng Gold, reaching their daily downward limits. Semiconductor and copper-clad laminate concept stocks also showed weakness, with Tongguan Copper Foil, Nanya New Material, and ZZ Microelectronics falling more than 10%, and Montage Technology declining over 7%. In contrast, pharmaceutical stocks defied the overall market trend and strengthened, with multiple stocks such as Teyi Pharmaceutical and Xinhua Pharmaceutical hitting their daily upward limits.
