On June 3, TrendForce's latest research shows that as the scale of AI data centers expands and computing power competition intensifies, data transmission rates have increased to over 1.6Tbps. To ensure a stable supply of chips, manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Google, and Meta have already secured production capacity from EML and CW-DFB LD chip suppliers in advance. Suppliers are actively expanding their production scales to meet customer demand, with the total production capacity of EML and CW-DFB LD chips expected to more than triple, reaching 50.7 million units by 2026. Currently, Broadcom, Lumentum, and Sumitomo Electric are the top three suppliers, collectively holding a 55% market share.
