In recent weeks, WIT Tech LLC, a shell company connected to Musk, has snapped up properties in a sparsely populated region on the fringes of Houston, United States. According to land registry documents, the company has secured the purchase of no fewer than six parcels of land in Grimes County, spanning a combined area exceeding 6,000 acres, though the sum involved in the transaction remains undisclosed. This strategic acquisition hints at the possibility that Musk is on the lookout for a suitable site to establish his envisioned $55 billion chip plant, dubbed Terafab. The Terafab initiative, which enjoys the collective backing of SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, is geared towards supplying chips essential for artificial intelligence and robotics endeavors, with the potential total investment ballooning to as much as $119 billion.
