On June 3, reports surfaced indicating that the shell company “WIT Tech LLC,” which has ties to Musk, has been acquiring properties in rural locales on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, in recent weeks. These purchases are potentially earmarked for the proposed $55 billion chip factory, Terafab. The Terafab project, which is being jointly spearheaded by SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, is geared towards supplying chip support for artificial intelligence and robotics endeavors, with the total investment in the project potentially soaring to as much as $119 billion. According to land registry records, the company has bought at least six parcels of land in Grimes County, encompassing over 6,000 acres, though the transaction amount remains undisclosed.
