On June 2, Choi Tae-won, the Chairman of SK Group, announced that SK Hynix has set a goal to double its wafer production capacity within the upcoming five-year period. This strategic move is aimed at satisfying the burgeoning demand for memory products tailored for artificial intelligence applications. He also pointed out that the production capacity constraints for memory chips are likely to remain a challenge up until 2030.
