On June 2, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, responded to questions regarding NVIDIA's partner Samsung Electronics and its recently reached compensation agreement, stating that he has always preferred to pay employees as much as possible. Under the agreement, Samsung will offer bonuses of up to $400,000 to chip engineers. Huang said, 'While I have always preferred to pay employees as much as possible, it doesn't necessarily mean it's the right thing to do.' Additionally, Huang dismissed the notion that artificial intelligence (AI) might threaten jobs, calling it 'nonsense,' and believes that AI will drive growth in income, profits, and GDP. According to Samsung's March filing, the average income of Samsung employees last year was 158 million won (approximately $105,000).
