On May 15, numerous international media sources disclosed that the U.S. Department of Commerce has given the nod for the export of NVIDIA H200 chips to ten Chinese companies. These companies include industry giants such as Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, and JD.com. Under this approval, each of these buyers is permitted to acquire as many as 75,000 chips. Nevertheless, despite the authorization of this sales initiative, no actual transactions have transpired between the involved parties up to the present moment.
