International investment bank Macquarie Securities has made a projection that, should SK Hynix's operating profit soar to KRW 447 trillion by 2027, and considering that 10% of this profit is earmarked for bonuses and the company has around 35,000 employees, the average bonus per employee could reach approximately KRW 1.29 billion, which is equivalent to RMB 6.1 million. On May 9, SK Hynix issued a response, clarifying that the performance outlook for the next two years remains uncertain, and therefore, it is currently impossible to forecast the scale of bonuses. The company has instituted a new system that allocates 10% of its operating profit as a funding mechanism to distribute performance bonuses on an annual basis. This move is aimed at attracting and retaining top talent through competitive compensation packages and sustaining long-term competitive advantages.
