On May 7, amid large-scale investments in artificial intelligence computing by tech companies, the adoption rate of Arm's (ARM.O) chip technology continues to rise. The company predicted on Wednesday that its revenue for the first fiscal quarter would reach $1.26 billion, surpassing market expectations of $1.25 billion. Arm CEO Rene Haas expressed optimism about data center demand, noting a significant increase in data center-related patent royalties this quarter. Earlier this year, Arm released the AGI CPU, a data center chip specifically designed to handle large-scale AI computations of certain types. The company disclosed on Wednesday that it had secured customer demand worth $2 billion for this processor for the fiscal years 2027 and 2028.
