According to the Economic Daily News, TSMC is undertaking a large-scale upgrade of its Fab 15A located in the Central Taiwan Science Park, with the production line technology being upgraded from 28/22nm to 4nm. Currently, old equipment is being gradually replaced with new-generation production equipment. The upgrade encompasses cleanroom enhancements and machine tool renewals, with the total investment expected to exceed NT$100 billion (approximately US$3.16 billion).
