Moore's Law has guided the global development of chip technology for over 50 years. In recent decades, there has been a widespread belief in the industry that Moore's Law has become obsolete and that chip technology is about to reach its physical limits, making further miniaturization impossible. However, the Belgian research center IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre) remains optimistic. Its newly released roadmap indicates that silicon-based technology still holds immense potential, with expectations that chip technology could advance to below 0.2nm by 2046.
