According to ShujuBao, the first quarter of this year witnessed a wave of price hikes across the global semiconductor sector, with more than 50 companies collectively raising their prices. Notably, some high-end AI chip prices skyrocketed by over 100%. Among these, semiconductor sputtering targets—a pivotal material in chip fabrication—have experienced particularly significant price increases. Prices for conventional targets rose by 20%, while special small metal-type targets surged by as much as 60% to 70%. A report by Frost & Sullivan projects that the global semiconductor sputtering target market will reach RMB 25.11 billion by 2027.
