As spintronic technology advances towards miniaturization and heightened integration, the ability to achieve quasi-one-dimensional magnon spin transport becomes pivotal in mitigating signal crosstalk within integrated devices. Recently, the research team led by Professor Chen Jianhao from the School of Physics at Peking University has made a remarkable breakthrough. They have, for the first time, observed quasi-one-dimensional long-range magnon spin transport facilitated by a magnon flat band within a two-dimensional frustrated striped antiferromagnetic material, CrOCl. This achievement sets a robust stage for the extensive integration of innovative magnon-based devices.
