On April 3, Changhong Energy made an announcement revealing that its majority-owned subsidiary, Changhong Sanjie New Energy Co., Ltd., is set to create a fresh entity known as Changhong Sanjie (Malaysia) New Energy Co., Ltd. This new venture will see an investment of roughly RMB 999 million aimed at constructing a high-performance lithium battery production hub in Malaysia. This project has been earmarked as a fundraising initiative for the company's 2026 stock issuance targeted at specific investors. It plans to allocate RMB 803 million from the funds raised, with the balance to be covered by the company's internal resources or through self-financed means.
