According to foreign reports, Samsung plans to achieve mass production of 1nm process chips before 2030, becoming the first manufacturer to publicly announce a timeline for the 1nm production node, with the intention of competing with TSMC for dominance in the advanced process market. Currently, TSMC's most advanced process roadmap has entered the angstrom era, with its A14 (1.4nm) process expected to enter production in 2028. To break through physical limits, Samsung's 1nm process will adopt a 'Forksheet' structure, enhancing transistor density by adding an insulating layer between nanosheets to improve power consumption and performance.
