Based on information from TheElec, two prominent Japanese providers of tungsten hexafluoride (WF6) — Kanto Denka Kogyo and Central Glass Co., Ltd. — informed South Korean semiconductor giants, including Samsung Electronics and DB HiTek, last week that their raw material supply chains have encountered interruptions. These Japanese producers will continue to fulfill orders by drawing from their current stockpiles until May or June. However, they are unable to ensure a steady supply for the latter half of the year.
