On March 12, 2026, Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President of AMD's Computing and Graphics Business Group, officially unveiled the next-generation FSR technology stack codenamed 'Diamond'. Developed jointly by AMD and Microsoft, this technology serves as a core component of Microsoft's next-generation Project Helix console, featuring native optimization for next-gen Xbox hardware and deep integration into the Xbox GDK development toolkit. FSR Diamond introduces next-gen neural rendering, machine learning-based super-resolution scaling, and multi-frame generation technologies, while enhancing ray tracing and path tracing capabilities. Currently, the technology's primary focus is to support Microsoft's next-gen Xbox, with future plans to extend coverage to the Radeon graphics card product line.
