On December 22, in response to reporters' inquiries regarding Nexperia, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce emphasized that the Chinese government bears a significant responsibility for the stability and efficiency of the global semiconductor production and supply chain. To this end, it has implemented measures to facilitate the export of compliant civilian-grade chips, thereby fostering an environment conducive to supply chain stability and seamless operation. Simultaneously, the government is urging enterprises to swiftly resolve internal disputes through consultative means.

It has been reported that Wingtech Technology and Nexperia Netherlands conducted their inaugural round of consultations last week. During these discussions, both parties elucidated and clarified issues of mutual concern, agreeing to sustain ongoing communication. The Chinese side appeals to the involved enterprises to engage in consultations concerning control rights and the revitalization of the supply chain, with the aim of effectively reinstating the global semiconductor production and supply chain.

The spokesperson reiterated that the crux of the Nexperia issue lies in the inappropriate administrative interference by the Dutch government in corporate operations. The Dutch authorities are urged to promptly rescind the administrative order, encourage former executives of Nexperia Netherlands to withdraw their lawsuit from the enterprise court, and expediently resume chip supplies to Chinese and international automakers, including those based in China.
