On November 22, the UK government released a statement outlining its ambitious plans. By 2035, the nation aims to achieve domestic production capable of meeting 10% of its mineral needs, while an additional 20% will be sourced through recycling efforts. Notably, as part of this strategy, the UK is set to produce a minimum of 50,000 tonnes of lithium annually. To bolster the growth of local enterprises in this sector, the government has earmarked an investment of approximately £50 million.
