Speaking in Beijing at the 2025 10th China Global Think Tank Innovation Annual Conference, Tuerk Joaquin, the European Union's Ambassador to China, expressed the EU's readiness to collaborate closely with China to foster the stable and sustained growth of bilateral relations. He emphasized that EU member states are aligned with Brussels in maintaining a cohesive stance, and as a collective entity, the EU will refrain from venturing into high-risk territories or making imprudent decisions.
In addressing inquiries concerning the Nexperia incident, he characterized it as "a piece of positive news" for China-EU relations. Furthermore, he reiterated the EU's enthusiasm for welcoming Chinese enterprises to invest in Europe, establish production facilities, and contribute to job creation within the region.
