On November 18, industry insiders disclosed that Luo Weiren, who previously served as Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Corporate Strategy Development at TSMC, joined Intel in October after his retirement from TSMC in July this year. Nevertheless, suspicions have arisen that he leveraged his senior executive position prior to retirement to instruct employees to compile technical briefings on TSMC's advanced processes, including 2nm, A16, and A14. Moreover, he is alleged to have departed the company with confidential materials related to these processes. Luo Weiren embarked on his career at TSMC in 2004 and dedicated 21 years to the company, overseeing numerous research and development projects and acquiring an in-depth understanding of TSMC's technological framework. As of now, TSMC has refrained from issuing a detailed response regarding this incident.
