Intel is currently undergoing a sweeping transformation in a bid to reclaim its former prominence. In an effort to keep pace with frontrunners in the AI chip sector, Intel has announced a 15% reduction in its workforce, pulled back from its intended investment in a new chip fabrication plant in Europe, and is now concentrating its efforts on the AI chip and PC processor markets. The company aims to roll out AI chips incorporating cutting-edge technology to recapture market share in the PC processor arena. Intel has placed particular emphasis on the research and development of 18A and 14A technologies, and has slowed down the construction pace of its chip plant project in Ohio. Despite encountering hurdles, Intel's top brass maintains an optimistic outlook for the future, projecting revenue growth in the upcoming quarters. The latest financial report reveals that Intel's total quarterly revenue hit $13.653 billion, marking a 2.78% year-on-year increase, with net profit attributable to shareholders reaching $4.063 billion, up 124.42% from the previous year.
