RF (Radio Frequency) semiconductor company Qorvo has announced its intention to shut down its previously acquired Greenpeak facilities situated in Utrecht, Netherlands, and Zelzate, Belgium. The company has already commenced negotiations regarding a workforce reduction plan. While the final disbandment of these operations may still take several months to complete, this strategic move has already captured the attention of industry observers. Qorvo clarified that this operational adjustment is not linked to its proposed merger with Skyworks. Instead, the decision stems from the slower-than-expected progress in its ultra-low power business segment.
