Samsung has unveiled the PM9E1 solid - state drive, which comes in the compact M.2 2242 form factor. This drive serves as a miniaturized iteration of the original PM9E1 and is the OEM variant of the 9100 PRO. In terms of technology, it leverages Samsung's in - house developed 5nm controller and eighth - generation TLC V - NAND flash memory. The maximum storage capacity it can offer is a whopping 4TB. When it comes to performance, it truly shines. It can achieve sequential read speeds of up to an impressive 14.8GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 13.4GB/s. Such outstanding performance makes it an ideal choice, especially for devices that have limited internal space. These include thin and light laptops, mini PCs, and handheld gaming consoles.
