Samsung Electronics is poised to launch its innovative in-vehicle SSD, the AM9C1 E1.A, which stands out for its modular design that allows for the independent removal of both the controller and flash memory chips. Building upon the foundation of the AM9C1 model introduced in September 2024, this cutting-edge SSD integrates eighth-generation V-NAND flash memory technology alongside a 5nm PCIe Gen4 NVMe controller. The E1.A variant takes modularity a step further by segregating the controller and flash memory into distinct, detachable modules. This design not only improves heat dissipation and extends the product's operational lifespan but also streamlines the upgrade process, making it more user-friendly. Moreover, the AM9C1 E1.A adheres to the rigorous AEC-Q100 standard, ensuring reliable performance across a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 105°C.
