A-Share Midday Market Wrap-Up: ChiNext Index Climbs 0.69% in Morning Trade, Memory Chip Stocks Shine

During the morning trading session, all three of China's major A-share indices posted gains. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index had reached 3,916.1 points, marking a 0.1% increase; the Shenzhen Component Index stood at 13,139.0 points, up 0.15%; and the ChiNext Index had surged to 3,046.68 points, a 0.69% rise. The combined trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges was around RMB 1.212197 trillion, reflecting a decrease of approximately RMB 57.812 billion compared to the previous trading day. Across the entire market, 1,273 stocks advanced, while 4,038 declined. Fifty-one stocks hit their upper daily limit, and two reached their lower daily limit. In terms of sector performance, insurance and memory chip stocks led the way, while the gas and steel sectors experienced notable declines. Among concept stocks, memory chips, port and shipping, innovative drugs, and electric vehicle charging piles were particularly active. Conversely, rare earth permanent magnets, controlled nuclear fusion, and robotics concepts saw weakness. Notably, Sanhua Intelligent clarified that rumors regarding a substantial robot order were unfounded.
