In October 2025, the Dutch government stepped in with regard to semiconductor manufacturer Nexperia, expressing concerns that crucial technologies might be transferred to its Chinese parent company, Wingtech. The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy issued a ministerial decree, barring Nexperia and its 30 global subsidiaries from making any adjustments to assets, intellectual property, and other related areas for a period of one year. At the same time, the Dutch Enterprise Chamber made a ruling to suspend the relevant positions held by Zhang Xuezheng and put Nexperia's shares under trusteeship, thereby temporarily curbing Wingtech's control over Nexperia.
