During the midday trading break on October 13, 2025, the three key A-share indices experienced a collective downturn. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 1.3%, the Shenzhen Component Index tumbled by 2.56%, and the ChiNext Index slumped by 3%.
The automotive, robotics, and consumer electronics concept sectors were at the forefront of the decline. Wingtech Technology, for instance, plummeted to hit the daily downward limit. Meanwhile, Goertek, Luxshare Precision, and Zhejiang Rongtai all witnessed drops exceeding 7%.
In stark contrast, the rare earth and domestic software concept sectors emerged as the top gainers. Huahong Technology and China National Software soared to reach the daily upward limit. Additionally, Northern Rare Earth surged by over 9%, China Rare Earth climbed by more than 8%, and Kingsoft Office advanced by over 7%.
