Intel's upcoming next-generation Panther Lake processor is anticipated to be branded as the Core Ultra 300 series. Meanwhile, it has been officially confirmed that the Clearwater Forest processor will be known as the Xeon 6+ series. Notably, both of these processors mark the inaugural integration of Intel's 18A process technology into their CPU compute modules. Looking ahead, it is also expected that the next-generation performance-core Xeon Diamond Rapids will leverage the 18A process. The Xeon 6+ series is designed with a strong emphasis on compatibility with the existing Xeon 6900P series. Additionally, the Xeon 6+ series incorporates a Darkmont E-Core architecture, which results in a 17% increase in Instructions Per Clock (IPC). Moreover, it supports 12-channel DDR5-8000 memory, accommodates up to 288 cores within a single socket, and boasts a substantial 576MB L3 cache.
