Apple insider Mark Gurman has disclosed that the delivery timeline for custom-configured M4 MacBook Pro models has been shifted to the period between October 23 and 28. This adjustment may hint at Apple's intention to unveil the M5 MacBook Pro this October. Insider sources indicate that Apple is poised to launch the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with the M5 chip in October. Meanwhile, variants featuring the more advanced M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are anticipated to make their market debut in early 2026.
Just last week, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) inadvertently released details about these upcoming devices. The leaked information suggests that Apple plans a phased rollout of MacBook Pro models with varying chip configurations, with the M5 version slated for introduction this month. This latest iteration of the MacBook Pro will mark the inaugural use of the M5 chip, which is produced utilizing TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm manufacturing process, promising robust performance capabilities.
However, in terms of design aesthetics and other hardware features, significant upgrades are not anticipated. Beyond the MacBook Pro, the M5 chip is also set to power the iPad Pro and Vision Pro. Additionally, Apple might refresh its Apple TV and HomePod mini lineups, with announcements regarding these new products expected to be made through official press releases.
