According to the official WeChat account "Jinri Yibin," on September 30, the cell manufacturing plant and battery pack assembly plant of the second-phase project at CATL's Luoyang base officially commenced operations. As one of CATL's thirteen global production bases, the Luoyang base is being developed in four sequential phases, adhering to the standards of a "lighthouse factory + zero-carbon factory." Since the first-phase project became operational in November 2024, its cumulative output value has surpassed 10 billion yuan. The second-phase project encompasses 3 cell production lines and 10 PACK (battery pack) assembly lines. Upon reaching full operational capacity, it is projected to augment annual production by 30GWh, thereby providing a significant boost to Luoyang's new energy vehicle industry chain.
