Recently, news emerged that Intel's Panther Lake processor is set to usher in a new Core Ultra X series. Initially, its precise meaning remained shrouded in mystery, with many speculating it to be an upgraded iteration. However, the latest intel reveals that this series is all about full-spec integrated graphics, packing 12 cores based on the Xe3 architecture. Moreover, it will only encompass two high-end sub-series: the Core Ultra X9 and X7.

The Core Ultra X series is projected to boast a configuration of 16 CPU cores (comprising 4 performance cores, 8 efficient cores, and 4 low-power efficient cores) alongside 12 Xe GPU cores. This setup is poised to deliver a substantial performance boost, particularly in graphics processing and multitasking scenarios. Looking ahead, this series is expected to kick off mass production in the first quarter of 2026, with its primary focus set on the high-performance notebook and AI PC markets.
