On September 25, 2025, during the Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm unveiled its latest flagship mobile platform—the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (the fifth iteration of the Snapdragon 8 Supreme series). Alongside this, the company also introduced two processors tailored for the PC market: the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme and the Snapdragon X2 Elite. Both of these PC processors are crafted using TSMC's cutting-edge 3-nanometer manufacturing process. Notably, some core frequencies of the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme have, for the first time, surpassed the 5GHz mark. Qualcomm proudly claims these to be the "swiftest and most energy-efficient processors ever seen in the history of Windows PCs." Furthermore, Qualcomm has announced that devices equipped with the Snapdragon X2 Elite series are slated to make their market debut in the first half of 2026.
