Recently, AMD has formally unveiled a pair of processors from its Ryzen 9000F series, which notably exclude integrated graphics: the Ryzen 5 9500F, boasting 6 cores and 12 threads, alongside the Ryzen 7 9700F, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads. In contrast to its predecessors in the Ryzen 7000F series, the 9000F series is constructed upon the Granite Ridge chip architecture. This design eliminates solely the RDNA2 graphics core from the I/O chip, while preserving the complete CPU I/O setup and the full capacity of the L3 cache. Specifically, the Ryzen 5 9500F is equipped with a peak boost frequency of 5GHz, a substantial 38MB of L3 cache, and maintains a TDP of 65W. Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 9700F impresses with a maximum boost frequency of 5.4GHz, an even larger 40MB of L3 cache, and the same 65W TDP. This processor lineup is predominantly aimed at users who already possess discrete graphics cards, with anticipated pricing that promises exceptional value. Motherboard collaborators have already finalized compatibility enhancements in the July AGESA release, paving the way for the imminent launch of these products.
