On August 27, the German iron-salt battery company Voltstorage announced its impending closure. According to insiders, despite current funds not yet being depleted, the company has decided to gradually wind down operations to avoid bankruptcy, stemming from its inability to secure a new round of funding. This strategic move is intended to honor the company's financial obligations. Voltstorage, which specialized in iron-salt battery technology, had aimed to complete the pilot installation of its initial batch of iron-salt batteries by early 2027; however, these ambitious plans were derailed by funding challenges.
