By the end of June 2025, China's installed capacity of renewable energy had soared to 2.159 billion kilowatts, accounting for 59.2% of the nation's total installed power capacity. This achievement places China at the forefront globally, both in terms of scale and growth rate. In recent years, China has vigorously pursued the green and low-carbon transformation of its energy structure, witnessing a decline in the share of coal consumption and a corresponding rise in the proportion of non-fossil energy use. The National Development and Reform Commission has confirmed that China has made notable progress in transitioning its energy sector towards greater sustainability and reduced carbon emissions.
