At the prestigious 5th RISC-V China Summit, the Shanghai Open Computing Institute was formally inaugurated. Currently in its preparatory stages, the Institute aims to bring together leading research institutions and industries from both China and abroad. Its mission is to drive the advancement of RISC-V computing architecture and the design of high-performance system software. The Institute will concentrate on pivotal technologies, including large-scale distributed AI systems, compilers for new-generation AI hardware parallel programming languages, and vertical optimization of software systems. Through these efforts, it seeks to foster an open and thriving computing industry ecosystem.
