Since April 2025, China's Cyberspace Administration has embarked on the 'Clear and Bright: Rectifying AI Technology Abuse' initiative. In its first phase, the Administration has addressed over 3,500 AI products found in violation of regulations, removed more than 960,000 pieces of illegal information, and disposed of over 3,700 accounts. Moving forward, the initiative will transition into its second phase, which will prioritize seven key areas, including the combat against AI-generated rumors. It will also involve establishing a robust technical monitoring system and promoting the adoption of content identification measures, all aimed at preserving a clean and vibrant online environment.
