TrendForce reports that the growing demand for AI servers is prompting the four major cloud service providers (CSPs) in North America to expedite the in-house development of ASIC chips, with new versions being introduced at an average rate of every 1-2 years. By 2025, it is anticipated that the share of outsourced chips from vendors like NVIDIA and AMD in China's AI server market will decline from approximately 63% in 2024 to 42%. Amidst favorable policy support, domestic Chinese chip suppliers are expected to bolster their market presence, capturing a 40% share, nearly matching the proportion of outsourced chips.
