OpenAI has introduced a suite of new features to the macOS iteration of ChatGPT, empowering users to seamlessly engage with the application via the convenient Option + Space keyboard shortcut or the intuitive menu bar icon. These enhancements are compatible with a myriad of popular apps, including Xcode and Visual Studio Code. The latest version not only offers suggestions for code modifications and facilitates difference comparisons but also incorporates voice control capabilities (note that voice-based code editing is currently unavailable). For added flexibility, users have the option to deactivate the "Work with Apps" feature and embrace the newly introduced "Temporary Chat" mode, which effectively disregards chat history. By default, chat records are securely saved to the user's account and remain accessible in the background for 30 days post-deletion.
