The Ministry of Education has announced the outcome of the 2024 undergraduate major adjustments in colleges and universities, introducing 1,839 new majors, ceasing enrollment in 2,220 majors, and eliminating 1,428 others. Additionally, the ministry has updated the 2025 undergraduate major catalog with the inclusion of 29 new majors. These newly introduced majors encompass areas such as national strategy, cutting-edge science and technology, market demand, and artificial intelligence, including Regional and National Studies, Carbon Neutrality Science and Engineering, and Intelligent Molecular Engineering. These adjustments are aimed at refining the professional structure and enhancing the overall quality of education.
