On October 22, 2026 local time, OpenAI announced the full availability of its Decisions API, built on the GPT-6 Luna model. This API is designed to enhance real-time decision-making capabilities for applications and agents based on text, image, and structured inputs. Compared to the traditional Responses API, the Decisions API offers response speeds up to 10 times faster. In terms of pricing, the Decisions API charges $0.10 per million tokens for input, $0.01 per million tokens for cached input, and offers output tokens for free. Additionally, the Decisions API supports native JSON input, images as question instructions, and allows up to 400 questions to be submitted in a single request. The OpenAI team is currently applying the Decisions API to product and business workflows.
