Based on the press release issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on October 22, the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises orchestrated a signing ceremony for strategic enterprise partners. During this event, it was announced that 18 pivotal enterprises are set to either establish a presence or expand their existing operations in Hong Kong. Impressively, several of these enterprises boast a market capitalization or valuation surpassing HK$100 billion. These enterprises span a diverse array of sectors, including advanced manufacturing, new energy, artificial intelligence, life and health technology, financial technology, as well as cultural and creative technology.
To date, the office has successfully lured a total of 142 key enterprises to Hong Kong. These enterprises are projected to inject approximately HK$84 billion in investment into the local economy and generate around 26,700 job opportunities in the years ahead. These positions will encompass high-value-added research and development roles, as well as managerial positions, thereby bolstering Hong Kong's economic landscape.
