According to the IT Times Network on October 15, 2026, Sachin Katti, the head of infrastructure and AI computing power at OpenAI, announced his resignation on October 14, with Uday Rudraraju slated to take over his position. Katti, who joined OpenAI in November 2025 after serving as Intel’s Chief Technology Officer, played a pivotal role in advancing the ‘Stargate’ data center project during his tenure. He also successfully forged computing resource partnerships with major suppliers such as SoftBank, Oracle, and Amazon AWS. Following his departure, Katti is anticipated to shift to an advisory capacity and maintain his collaboration with the company. His resignation represents the latest in a series of recent high-level executive departures from OpenAI.
